INTOSAI Chair affirms his confidence in Egypt's success in organizing the XXV INCOSAI

H.E. Minister Bruno Dantas; President of the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil and INTOSAI Chair, stated that concluding the activities of the 78th INTOSAI Governing Board Meeting represents a fruitful moment towards looking ahead to the future, stressing that this Meeting reflects the depth of INTOSAI’s commitment to strengthening public governance at the global level and to the crucial role it plays in enhancing accountability and transparency.
Dantas reiterated his deep thanks to the Accountability State Authority of Egypt for hosting the Meeting, praising the excellent organization and hospitality, and expressing his confidence that Egypt, under the leadership of its Supreme Audit Institution, will achieve similar success during its upcoming hosting of the XXV INCOSAI in 2025.
He pointed out that the Meeting provided an opportunity to assess the progress made in several initiatives that reflect INTOSAI's dynamism and evolving nature, adding that the joint visions and decisions reached by the Governing Board will contribute to shaping the Organization's future and enhancing its role in supporting public institutions around the world.
For his part, Minister Vital do Rêgo, the incoming President of the Federal Court of Accounts of Brazil, thanked Minister Bruno Dantas for his inspiring leadership over the past two years, commending his efforts in strengthening INTOSAI's voice on the international arena.
Do Rêgo also expressed his gratitude to Counsellor/ Mohamed El-Faisal Youssef; President of the Accountability State Authority of Egypt, for the warm welcome, and to Dr. Hussam Alangari and Dr. Margit Kraker for their support, stressing his commitment to pursuing work to enhance shared priorities, such as SAI Independence and global initiatives; most notably the “ClimateScanner Initiative”.
At the end of his speech, Dantas reiterated his thanks to the Governing Board members for their dedication and valuable contributions expressing that he looks forward to meeting them all in Sharm El-Sheikh during XXV INCOSAI.
